Ryan Sanger has spent more than a decade building a career around one defining idea: the most beautiful hair should look entirely believable. After beginning his career in Boston and later spending a decade in Los Angeles, Ryan developed a reputation for exceptionally natural hair extension transformations, combining meticulous color matching, customized placement, and an instinct for creating hair that feels entirely at home on the person wearing it. His work grew into two successful studios and a clientele that extended across the United States and internationally. Along the way, Ryan’s extension work appeared across print, film, and runway, while his expertise expanded beyond the chair into professional education and the business of creating an exceptional private-client experience. In 2023, he was named one of the Faces of Sola, further recognizing his work as both an artist and entrepreneur. But after years working at a high level within the beauty industry, Ryan began to feel that salons were losing something. Appointments were becoming faster and more transactional, while the hospitality, intimacy, and sense of occasion that once made having your hair done feel special were disappearing.
